PayHour

About PayHour

PayHour is a one-tool website. It runs a free pay hour calculator for hourly workers, freelancers, and small business owners. I run the site, write each page, and check every number myself.

Why I built it

Hourly pay math looks easy until a real schedule shows up. A lunch break shrinks your paid time. A night shift crosses midnight. A busy week can tip into overtime. I wanted one place that handles all three without a sign-up form or a wall of ads. So I built the Pay Hour Calculator and kept the site small on purpose.

What you will find here

The site has one calculator and the pages that support it. The calculator page walks through the formulas, worked examples, overtime rules, and sources. The remaining pages cover privacy, terms, cookies, and my editorial policy.

Who is behind PayHour

I am an independent publisher with no payroll, accounting, or legal credentials, and I offer no professional services. That is why I lean on official sources and tell you when a question needs an expert. Government sites such as the U.S. Department of Labor and the IRS are my main references.

What PayHour is not

PayHour is not a payroll service. It shows gross pay only, and your contract and local laws sit outside what it can check. The disclaimer spells out the limits.

Your privacy

Your numbers stay in your browser, and I never collect them. The privacy policy covers the few things I do handle, such as an email you send me.
